Popular “crap-free UO homepage” slows UO Matters server

Here, now getting about 400 hits a day.Make it your new homepage.
Sorry for the occasional 503 errors, I’ll upgrade the server this weekend.

The last search was led by VPFA Jamie Moffitt, and led to a botched hire, followed by the appointment of an emergency interim consultant, Laura MacDonald.The search was then restarted. The job add for the permanent position says:
The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree and appropriate professional certifications strongly preferred), five to ten years of progressive management experience within a complex organization serving multiple constituencies, preferably within higher education, strong technical knowledge of HR functions and technology with extensive experience in the administration of compensation and benefits programs; the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all campus constituents, a foundational understanding of issues and opportunities related to equity and inclusion and a demonstrated record of promoting diversity in the faculty and staff. Labor relations, particularly in negotiating and interpreting collective bargaining agreements, is strongly preferred.
