University of Oregon board faces decision on proposed 4.8 percent tuition increase

University of Oregon board faces decision on proposed 4.8 percent tuition increase: In the face of mounting controversy, the University of Oregon Board of Trustees has consolidated its planned discussions on recommended 4.5 percent and 4.8 percent tuition increases to a full board meeting on Friday morning. Instead, Provost Scott Coltrane said board Chairman Chuck Lillis wants to “have a full and robust discussion with everybody there.” The committee discussion on tuition, originally scheduled for Thursday, has been canceled.
