One Lane County resident killed, another shot, in Roseburg incident on June 14: ROSEBURG — A man who is believed to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and the woman he is believed to have shot just minutes before taking his own life in a rural area of Roseburg on June 14, are both from Lane County, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday. The man who died has been identified as 25-year-old Joseph A. George of Springfield.
