Agate Resources insiders made $34 million on sale of company that used public funds to provide health care to low-income Oregonians

Agate Resources insiders made $34 million on sale of company that used public funds to provide health care to low-income Oregonians: A small group of insiders in a private Eugene company that managed medical services for low-income Lane County residents made about $34 million when the company sold last year to a large out-of-state buyer, documents obtained by The Register-Guard show. For-profit Agate Resources owned and ran Trillium Community Health Plan, which oversees the Oregon Health Plan in Lane County, using federal and state government money to provide health care for about 94,000 low-income residents in Lane County and 2,000 in Douglas County.

Oregon faces $1.2 billion hole in its healthcare budget, initial funding request shows: The Oregon Health Authority will seek an eye-popping 56 percent increase in its funding from the state next year, as part of Oregon’s bill comes due for the Affordable Care Act’s Medicaid expansion. The health authority wants $3.33 billion from the state’s 2017-19 general fund, up from its $2.14 billion allocation in the current 2015-17 biennium, according to the agency’s initial funding request. The health authority administers most of Oregon’s government-funded health programs.

Make the Criminal Jim Torrey & his buddies pay it. Torrey stole 2.5 Million from Trillium by the help of his buddies Debi Farr & her husband Commissioner Pat Farr!!
