UO Foundation is on the road to divesting in fossil fuels, website says: The University of Oregon Foundation confirmed Monday that it plans to end its investment in “carbon-based fuel sources.” But foundation spokeswoman Victoria Nguyen declined to say when, where or how that decision was made, only that it was contained in an “investment management statement” posted on the foundation website Sept. 8. “The UO Foundation board of trustees sets the investment policy and strategy, and the investment statement reflects that strategy,” she said.
