UO male student goes to court, seeks to overturn suspension for alleged sexual misconduct: A judge on Tuesday urged lawyers representing the University of Oregon and a male student suspended for sexual misconduct to discuss a potential “win-win” compromise that would allow the man to enroll in fall term classes but still protect his accuser and the UO’s disciplinary process. The student — who asserts that he was falsely accused of an off-campus sexual assault and later given an unfair disciplinary hearing before UO officials — is suing the university in Lane County Circuit Court, ultimately hoping to get his suspension overturned.
