Police report two assaults in 24 hours at the Eugene Mission: Two people were taken to hospitals in separate assaults at the Eugene Mission in less than 24 hours, Eugene police said. Jerry Lyn Beaver, 67, of Eugene was arrested around 4 p.m. Wednesday on charges of misdemeanor assault for allegedly pushing a 66-year-old male to the ground.
