Eugene police arrest suspect in bias crimes at park, Islamic Center: A Eugene man has been accused of two separate bias crime incidents in two days — including threatening to kill members of the Islamic Center in west Eugene on Monday, just after evening prayers. Chad Everett Russell, 44, was booked into the Lane County Jail on Tuesday night on misdemeanor charges of intimidation (religion), menacing, disorderly conduct, intimidation (sexual orientation and race), harrassment and carrying a concealed weapon (a knife). Eugene police arrested Russell about 5 p.m.
