Fern Ridge path also has trash: I was glad to see the May 19 Register-Guard call attention to the worsening problem of piles of trash left in bike path tunnels. The problem also grows more serious in the dark, unlighted tunnels of the Fern Ridge bike path, a major entry route for the homeless into Eugene. These tunnels are used by some as bedrooms, by others to reorganize their loads and discard what they no longer want, to repair their bikes, to relieve themselves, or just to hang out.
