Not-guilty plea in alleged hate crime attack on Syrian teen

Last week, the San Diego chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights organization, condemned the attack.
“We urge state and federal law enforcement authorities to treat this attack with the seriousness it deserves,” Dustin Craun, executive director of CAIR’s San Diego chapter, said last Thursday. “Young people should not have to fear walking home from school.”
