CAIR and Muslim leaders in Baltimore City met with the Director of the recently formed Office of Equity

CAIR and Muslim leaders in Baltimore City met with the Director of the recently formed Office of Equity within the Baltimore City Public School System to discuss solutions to bullying and discrimination against Muslim students, and to explore ways that educators can be culturally sensitive to the needs of local Muslim communities.

According to some reports, about half of Muslim students in public schools report being bullied because of their faith, a statistic that far exceeds the national average.
