BENGALURU: Under the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Diabetes, the government should also screen for depression or any mental health issues in diabetes patients to ensure they live healthily, said S S Srikanta, Medical Director and Senior Consultant, Endocrinology and Diabetes, Samatvam Endocrinology Diabetes Centre.
The programme that will begin on Sunday is organised by Samatvam, Science and Research for Human Welfare Trust, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Dialogue on Diabetes and Depression and Jnana Sanjeevini Medical Centre.
